In the first film, after music is banned in the underwater kingdom of Atlantica, young Ariel gathers her friends and attempts to restore music to the kingdom. In the second film, Ariel and Eric marry and have a little princess but fear revenge from a sea witch so they hide her mermaid origins. Nevertheless, young Melody ventures into the sea and fulfills her dream to be a mermaid.
